Simplify My Login ("we", "our", or "us") provides OTP and Passwordless Authentication services for Shopify merchants ("you" or "the merchant"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and protect information when you install and use our application.

1. Information We Collect

When you install the Simplify My Login app on your Shopify store, we automatically access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

• Merchant Information: Your name, email address, shop URL, and preferred billing method for account management and communication.
• Customer Information: We temporarily process customer phone numbers and email addresses specifically to deliver OTP codes and provide authentication services. We do not store or intercept customer passwords.
• Device Information: We may collect IP addresses and basic device fingerprints of end-users for the sole purpose of detecting high-risk bot traffic and preventing SMS toll fraud.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain exactly the services requested (sending OTP codes).
• Calculate risk scores to block fraudulent authentication attempts.
• Invoice you for app usage via the Shopify Billing API.
• Provide personalized customer support.

3. Data Retention & Security

We retain operational data (like successful SMS delivery logs) strictly for generating your billing statements and analytics dashboard. All sensitive customer core data remains securely within Shopify's primary ecosystem.

We use industry-standard encryption protocols to secure data in transit. In the event you uninstall the app, we purge any residual customer mappings within our systems in accordance with Shopify's data deletion requirements within 48 hours for the `shop/redact` webhooks.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any merchant or end-customer data. We only share data with trusted sub-processors (like SMS Gateways or Resend for email) strictly to facilitate the service provided.

5. Your Rights

If you are a merchant, you can request access to or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. If you are a customer of a merchant using our app, please contact the merchant directly regarding your privacy rights.
